A student studying at Birgunj Public College BPC attempted suicide by jumping from the school building.
Rajeev Mahato, an 18-year-old student studying in class 12, attempted suicide by jumping from the fourth floor of the campus this morning.
Mahato of Vishrampur Rural Municipality - 5 Nakatuwa, Bara, who is being treated at Nepal Medicity Vyodha Hospital in Birganj, has a broken leg and serious injuries to his chin and hand.
He is now out of danger.
A preliminary investigation by the police has shown that he may have tried to commit suicide due to family problems.
According to campus head Hari Tuladhar, Mahato was found lying in the vacant land behind the campus building in the morning and was rescued by students and staff and taken to the nearby Prabhu Hospital.
Campus Head Tuladhar informed that he was brought to Bayodha Hospital for further treatment after treatment was not possible there.
