Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda is returning home from UAE. He is going to come to Kathmandu on Sunday evening via fly ship. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal went to UAE to participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP-28).
Addressing the COP-28, Prime Minister Prachandal said that injustice is being done to the country and the people of Nepal, which has no involvement in climate change.
It was made clear that countries like Nepal, which have zero contribution to climate emissions, have suffered the harmful effects of climate change.
"Climate change is having a terrible impact on countries like Nepal," said Dahal, "despite having almost zero contribution to global emissions, Nepal is experiencing direct, disproportionate and harmful effects of climate change."
During Prachanda's speech, Prime Minister Dahal also emphasized that the full implementation of the Paris Agreement should not be delayed.
