Four Nepalis serving in the Russian army have died. The Nepali Embassy in Moscow has informed that four Nepalis serving in the Russian army have died.
According to the letter sent by the embassy to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the deceased are Pritam Karki of Putlibazar-5 in Syangja, Rajkumar Rokka of Melung-6 in Dolakha, Gangaraj Moktan of Ilam-5 and Sandeep Thapalia of Gorkha.
As per the embassy, they have also received the death certificate from the Russian army officer with the information that they died on November 15, 29.
During the war between Russia and Ukraine, there were reports that some Nepalese were also killed.
They died together on October 29, the eve of Tihar, but the family got the news only two weeks later.
Syangja Karki retired from the Nepali Army. Rokka of Dolakha worked in the armed police until a few years ago and resigned before completing the term.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet released the details of the Nepalis killed in Russia-Ukraine.
