Nepal Airlines Loses Monopoly on Ground Handling Services
By Space 4 K
NEWS UPDATE
Nepal Airlines' monopoly on ground handling services at Tribhuvan International Airport has been broken.
The monopoly was broken after the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal decided to provide airport ground handling services only based on competition.
The government-owned Nepal Air Service Corporation has been handling the ground handling of Tribhuvan International Airport, Bhairawa and Pokhara Airports as well.
Until now, Nepal Airlines has been taking this service without competition.
Now, according to the new regulations of the Authority, according to Rule 5 (2) of the Service Fee Regulations 2078, land management services will be done through an organization selected through competition.
